Chi Omega’s national philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, and Psi Kappa raises money for this incredible cause through two annual events: Chi Omega Dodgeball & CHI*O Boot Camp. Chi Omega began its partnership with Make-A-Wish in 2002, and since then Chi Omegas have given over $2 million and 100,000 volunteer hours.
CHI*O Boot Camp is a military-style field day in which teams of sororities, fraternities, or independent groups go head-to-head in a day of crazy competition!
Our fifth annual CHI*O Boot Camp event will be held this spring, last year we raised over $2,000 for our national philanthropy, the Make-A-Wish Foundation. With over 25 teams participating, the event helped contribute to the $2 million that Chi Omegas have given nationally to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through the foundation’s wish-granting work.
Our fourth annual CHI*O BOOT CAMP was held Sunday, April 19th and it was a great success! Thanks to everyone who contributed to our event & helped to send our Make-A-Wish kid to Disney World! Check out pictures from the event in our photo gallery.
Chi Omega Trivia Night was held for the first time this fall to raise additional money for this worthy cause. Much like Boot Camp, it involves teams of sororities, fraternities, and independent groups getting together for an evening full intense competion, with entry fees, concessions, t-shirt sales, and sponsorships raising funds.
Psi Kappa also gives to various philanthropy events and causes throughout the school year as needs are presented. In the 2008 school year, we contributed to FeelGood, Relay for Life, Crop Walk, & Helen’s Hugs, and participated in clothing, food, and toiletries drives.
